Next Mentorship January-April 2026

Most teacher trainings dump information on you and expect you to figure out teaching on your own. We focus on developing your ability to teach through extensive hands-on practice. Instead of memorizing what to say, you'll learn to see what students need and respond in the moment. This is learning by doing, practice, and feedback.

What You'll Master

Month 1: Foundations

The Haia Philosophy & Movement Basics

  • What Haia really is and why it's different from other movement practices

  • How to create a welcoming space where everyone feels seen and supported

  • The difference between being an instructor vs. a teacher

  • Learn all fundamental exercises and how to explain them clearly

  • Anatomy and Physiology

Month 2: Building Teaching Skills

Communication & Adaptation

  • Learn to speak directly to students' bodies so they can actually feel what you're teaching

  • Master the haia teaching method: our step-by-step approach to teaching any exercise effectively

  • Understand how different people learn and how to modify for all bodies

  • Practice using your voice as a powerful teaching tool

Month 3: Advanced Teaching

Reading the Room & Creating Challenge

  • Learn to sense what's happening with students and adapt in real-time

  • Master the layering system: how to make exercises more or less challenging on the spot

  • Understand class structure, timing, and how music affects the experience

  • Practice teaching while moving around the room, not stuck at the front

Month 4: Mastery & Evaluation

Professional Touch & Integration

  • Learn when and how to use appropriate hands-on guidance

  • Understand professional boundaries and alternatives to physical touch

  • Teach practice segments and receive detailed feedback

  • Integrate everything into your unique teaching style

By the End, You'll Be Able To:

See What Students Actually Need

  • Notice when someone is struggling before they ask for help

  • Adapt exercises in real-time based on what you observe

  • Create an inclusive environment where every body feels successful

Teach Responsively, Not Robotically

  • Move beyond scripted classes to teach what's needed in the moment

  • Use voice, presence, and touch professionally to guide students

  • Build sequences that challenge appropriately without overwhelming

Create Genuine Connection

  • Help students develop body awareness rather than just following along

  • Foster community and support in every class

  • Teach from your authentic self while maintaining professional skills

Handle Real Teaching Situations

  • Work confidently with injuries, beginners, and advanced students in the same class

  • Manage different personalities and energy levels with ease

  • Solve problems on the spot while keeping everyone safe and engaged
